Strategic governance of the IAM is provided by the Board and Director.

The Board is composed of 25 members divided into 3 groups:

• College of the founding members (12 members)
  • Conseil régional des Pays de la Loire
  • Conseil General de la Sarthe
  • Le Mans Métropole
  • Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Le Mans and Sarthe
  • France
  • Association Fédération Française du Sport Automobile
• College of Business and training and research centers (12 members)
  • 6 companies in the automotive sector
  • 6 training and research centers
• 1 extra member

The Board elects a Steering Committee. The Steering Committee includes:

• President: Michel BOUTON (Renault)
• Treasurer: Christophe CAMARET (Chastagner-Delaize Group)
• Secretary: Bernard WARAIN (CCI of Le Mans and Sarthe)
• 3 Vice-presidents representing the communities
• 1 Vice-President
