Business meetings at Le Mans 24 Hours

The « International Business Days » in Le Mans: a unique business convention in France dedicated to Motorsport Industry

For the second edition, the « International Business Days » took place on 10th & 11th June, 2009, at the occasion of the “Le Mans 24-hour race”.



This event, which combines business and passion for Motorsport and the « Le Mans 24-hour race », gathered almost 70 attendees from 9 European countries (Germany, Belgium, Luxemburg, Italy, Spain, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, Sweden and France) and the United States.

40 European companies, among them buyers from Racing Teams competing in Le Mans (Peugeot Sport, Oreca, Pescarolo), attended almost 300 pre-arranged one-on-one meetings with potential customers, suppliers and partners in order to start news commercial, technology and industry co-operations.

The companies also had the chance to visit pits and paddocks of the participating Teams during the free practice session on 10th June.

In addition, about ten business networks, professional organisations and international media, world famous and experts in Motorsport, actively supported and joined the « International Business Days »:

  • Motorsport Industry Association, a British and European business network for Motorsport companies
  • Swedish Motorsport Industry, the Swedish counterpart of the MIA
  • ModenaFiere and Mito Group, Italian organisers of Motorsport ExpoTech Exhibition in Modena
  • Autosport International, the British organiser of Autosport International and Autosport Engineering Exhibitions in Birmingham
  • Performance Racing Industry, the US organiser of PRI Exhibition in Orlando
  • Race Tech International, a British magazine dedicated to Motorsport Industry
  • Camara de Comercio e Industria de Alava, the Chamber of Commerce of the Basque Country
  • Association Française de Prototypage Rapide, the French Association of Fast Prototyping
  • E.M.C., the French specialist of surface coating

The « International Business Days » are organised by the Institut Automobile du Mans, Invest in Western France and FL Consulting, with the support of Pays de la Loire Region, Sarthe County and Le Mans City.

This unique event in France plans to become one of the most attractive business convention dedicated to Motorsport Industry, such as the existing events in the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and the United States.

The growing international visibility of the event contributes to the influence and attractiveness of Western France and offers new development opportunities to companies, locally and internationally.
